Autumn to Winter Transitional

Diet is one of the easiest and most impactful ways we can use Ayurvedic methods to live our healthiest lives. While diet is not cookie cutter person to person (even location-location) there are some general guidelines we can follow to eat optimally. Seasonal eating is one of those ways.

Autumn - Winter is a big transition.

Autumn is the season of vata and can be easily depleting increasing feelings of:

  • Stress

  • Spinning or tumbling - spiraling out of control

  • Overwhelmed 

  • Mixed moods

All of these signs are normal and just mean that Vata is out of balance with an overtaxed nervous system. 

Qualities of Autumn: Vata Season - CHANGEABLE

  • changing weather

  • cooler temperature

  • light (one day its light and the next is dark)

  • lighter air (not as much humidity)

  • mobile - windy

  • dry
